Still Lifes, 2016
single-channel HD video, color, stereo sound, 28 minutes
Aging embodies, represents, and concretizes the passage of life in all its permutations and variations. It is in the postures, expressions, gestures, physical traits, movements, and character of the elderly where time is epitomized, incarnated, and personified. Comprised of material that looks at people who live in retirement homes and assisted living facilities, Still Lifes weaves together condensed narratives that blur distinctions between varying realities.
