MIDSENTENCE interrogates incarceration, restraint, isolation, and the fraught institutional power dynamics between those in and out of uniform. Life inside a county jail is inscribed in brutalist architecture and cold materials, where concrete, cinder block, metal bars, and locking systems enforce discipline and subordination. Fluorescent light, institutional food, and the echoes of sounds and smells render a regime of control that collapses innocence and guilt alike into an architecture of oppression.
